It is important for you as a member of our political party to convince others to join our movement.

by participating in unrestrained and self-congratulatory virtue signalling.

I encourage my citizens to celebrate their history and culture.

I understand you distracting your citizens from their failing government and miserable existence

with badly organized celebrations of your inferior culture.

Senator, I will your campaign donate to your charitable foundation, pay you for speeches 

and hire your children and in return you will support laws that are advantageous to my business.

Please don't say the second part out loud.

People need to know our opponents are intentionally lying.

Yes.  I agree people need to know this good news that they are intentionally lying.

If our opponents believed their lies like our supporters do, it might start a war.

It is important for our political party to get out the message that facts matter.

Got it.  It is important for us to broadcast the message that facts matter...

while at the same time hiding the fact that the issues are more multi-faceted than we are claiming.
